Becca Gwirtz has been a social worker for over 30 years with a variety of opportunities to learn how to encourage therapeutic growth for children, adults and families experiencing mental health symptoms that impact daily functioning.
Becca is comfortable working with individuals with a variety of needs and complex dynamics impacting individual and family functioning. Becca comes to PFT with experience in providing intense therapeutic intervention with children and teens primarily linked with multiple systems while living in their family home. She has previously worked with adults having experienced complex trauma and children impacted by faster care and adoption.
Becca received a bachelor’s degree at MVNU in both Social Work and Sociology in 1997. She then went on to obtain a master’s degree in social work in 2004. Today, she maintains licensure within Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory status (LISW-S) within the state of Ohio. Becca has specialized training in Child Parent Psychotherapy and CSAYC (problem sexual behavior). She will use an integrative approach with interventions that encourage clinical growth and change.
Becca is new to our practice. Therefore, we are working hard to get her on insurance panels such as, United Healthcare, Aetna, UMR, Medical Mutual, Caresource, Buckeye and Medicare. She is able to accept Ohio Medicaid and Anthem at this time.
